About Us

Literary Lust was started in April 2012 as an outlet for books Emiko Rei and yukarin read. We want to help spread the love of books, appreciates good looking men and bringing you into our world of quirkiness. We review very diverse genre of books; Young Adult (YA) to Adult, paranormal to historical, etc. Once in awhile we upload podcasts and make some completely random posts that are, more often than not, book related.

We mostly update at weekend, but you can contact us on my e-mail and twitter everyday.

Emiko Rei

My name is Emiko Rei, and I'm a student, humanitarian chick, as well as blog reviewing (busy-body). I love literature. I can't dance to save my life, same does apply to creative writing. In terms of reading, I'm obsessive, I can read 100 books in a week and could remember every single plot and actions (probably some quotes I found interesting).

Are you a paperback reader or digital reader?

Both. I love my eReader the most as it's easier to carry hundreds of books everywhere, especially school without the pain-in-the-ass of heavy bags *eurgh*. I still love to hold a paperback book and turn real pages from time to time (near bed time most likely). Plus I love looking at all the hot guys covers on my bookshelves.

Who are you favorite authors?
There's a lot to choose from!

To name some; there are Maya Banks, William Shakespeare, Victoria Scott , Jaci Burton, Katie MacAlister, Kristen Ashley,  Jill Shalvis, Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath, and Tennessee Williams.
As long as they write interesting characters, and hints of comedy in there, I'm sold!

Have you gotten to meet any of them IRL (In Real Life)?
Nope, I haven't got the luck to meet them, *sobs* but I hope I would in near future.

What are your favorite genres to read?

Most of the time, I read Romance, but sometimes I like to sink my teeth to some Mysteries or heat it up with Erotica. Though I do also read contemporary fictions and some epics and poetries~

What book took you by surprise? How so?

There's been a few. Generally, it's something with really awesome (and believable) plot, well rounded character, and awesome author - the creator!

What do you like to do, apart from reading?

Reviewing & Editing, Podcasting, Social Networking (typical blogger, eh?), Singing (while the neighbour dogs barks in protest), Work Out (... those sexy sweat! lol), cooking (who doesn't love food?), and traveling!

If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to contact me.

clear

My name is clear. Likewise to Emiko, I'm also a student, writer and an illustrator. But those are a small selection of what I do. I adore Asian culture, mostly Chinese and Japanese stuff, which leads my adoration towards manga, anime and the musics. I'm a linguaholic. Fawning over languages and is very obsessed to learn new languages.

In terms of reading, I'm quite slow. I can read up to 4 or more in a week, depending on my schedule. I tend to multi task on my reading, so I can read about 5 or 6 at the same time. (Though it'll take longer for me to finish (;´∀`)

Are you a paperback reader or digital reader?
I do both, but most of the time, I'm a digital reader. It's more convenient than actual paperback, and it's practical! I still do paperback though, but it's mostly manga and some books.

Who are you favorite authors?
I haven't read much books to have a favorite author just yet.

But, I can say that I'm a fan of Edgar Alan Poe, Marissa Meyer, Sarah J. Maas and Chris Bradford. There will be more to come when I've read more books!

Have you gotten to meet any of them IRL ?
*laughs* it's not much, but I've only seen Chris Bradford, back in school.

Though, if possible, I'd like to meet more!

What are your favorite genres to read?
I can do all genres, with the exception of Horror. I just don't do well with them.

Most of the time, I read Fantasy, Sci-fi and Adventure, but I have those moments when I want to read Romance or go all SCI and read Crime-Thriller books

What book took you by surprise? How so?
*scratches cheek* Well, I can't really answer this question till I've read more books, so... I'll update this when I have one!

What do you like to do, apart from reading?
Well, I'm the the type of person who like trying out new stuff (Jack of all trades is it?. The only difference is that I'm improving on it bit by bit). As well as being a busy bee. I'm a drawer (though still improving), acting as an illustrator for this blog. I'm also a writer, a producer an utau user (not sure if some of you know or heard about 'utau'), a singer (yet to begin), work out, travelling, baking and... podcasting alongside Emiko!

If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to contact me.
